About the Site
The purpose of Gaston Life is to become a resource about all that is good in Gaston County. On this site you will find information about local attractions, such as parks and museums, places to dine, and other information about our community.
The motivation behind creating this site came nearly a decade ago when my wife and I move to Gastonia from Shelby. We spent most of our time that first year rotating between Franklin Square and the Cracker Barrel. And as our family grew we started to seek out information about doctors, schools, and activities for the kids. When I went to search out this information online there didn’t seem to be one really good site about the community. So with that in mind I finally began planning to build that “really good site” and from there Gaston Life was born.
I hope you will find this site useful and will be patient with as we grow. Any feedback or suggestions you have are welcome and can be submitted as a comment to this article.
What a great idea! I just came across this website by accident but we should do more to promote it. I don’t have real links on my websites but I can add to my my.space and tell my other friends there who are mainly in area. I hope there is some mention of the “greenway” on here in Gastonia…I would offer to write something on it except I’m just not outdoor person so never been….OH…now I see it listed in your “keywords.” Let me know how I can help…could at least comment on restaurants I’ve been to (been here since ‘88). I certainly can’t comment, but because they bring is so many people from out of county, I thinm Mary Jo’s and the Harley dealership deserve a mention. John
